It's not always easy to stay active, especially as you age. Reframing your mindset and learning what you like and what feels sustainable can make a big difference.
Here are 5 easy tips to add more movement to your daily life:
1. Have fun and try new things! This will keep you interested and engaged.
2. Find activities that work for your fitness level and mobility. Gentle stretching and sitting exercises are a good place to start if you're not sure.
3. Incorporate exercise into your existing routine. Park a little farther away if able, or do 15-30 minutes of house or yard work. Little choices that build in activity definitely count!
4. Discover indoor and outdoor activities you enjoy to give yourself options depending on the weather.
5. Make realistic goals. Start small if you're a beginner and don't push yourself past your limits.
