Neuville Coach, a school bus contractor and charter bus company in Lapeer, seeks a daily route driver for immediate placement in Pontiac. The assignment will provide an 8-hour per day minimum (with terms) for all scheduled school days for which transportation is required. Hourly rate is $22 per hour.

Requirements:

- Class B CDL with P and S endorsements and not restricted from air brakes
- Michigan Department of Education certificates of Beginning School Bus Driver Training or Continuing Education, as applicable.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Eligible to work in schools based upon Livescan fingerprinting results

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a school bus following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport students to and from school and other activities in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe bus environment for passengers.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills while interacting with passengers.

Though our company is based in Lapeer, this assignment will have the bus parked in Pontiac. We also welcome applicants for field trip and athletic drivers at our Lapeer base, but the Pontiac assignment is our most imminent need.

Neuville Coach, a school bus contractor and charter bus company in Lapeer, seeks daily route and trip drivers. We have three open daily route positions available. These assignments pay 7 to 8 hours daily, depending on the route, and are a split shift typical of school bus driving. Hourly rate is $22 per hour for a 180-day school year.

Requirements:

- Class B CDL with P and S endorsements and not restricted from air brakes
- Michigan Department of Education certificates of Beginning School Bus Driver Training or Continuing Education, as applicable.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Eligible to work in schools based upon Livescan fingerprinting results

We are willing to provide paid training for these credentials for the right candidates.

The buses park in Lapeer, but if interested candidates reside in Oakland County (where these routes will be operating), alternative arrangements will be considered. We would also welcome more trip drivers for field trips and athletics. Trip driver hours will ebb and flow with the sports seasons, ranging from 20-40 hours per week.

Neuville Coach is in immediate need of a school bus monitor on a lightly loaded special needs bus route. The full position pays 6 hours per day at $17.50 per hour, Monday through Friday, and follows the typical school transportation schedule where those six hours are split between morning and afternoon shifts. The current time obligation is actually much less than six hours but students might be added to the route. Successful applicant should begin as soon as background and safety checks are complete. There may opportunities to share the time with existing staff, in case an applicant does not wish to work every shift. Prior experience working in school systems is preferred. Applicant must pass pre-employment drug screening and school background checks. Bus route originates in Clarkston.

Neuville Coach, a charter bus company in Lapeer, seeks a mechanic for a part time position. Responsibilities would include preventative maintenance routines, and body-side systems repair such as exhaust, seats, electrical, and more. Heavy maintenance or that requiring proprietary diagnostic tools will continue to be outsourced. Flexible hours. Bus experience preferred, but not required as existing staff can provide instruction. $25 per hour.

DON"T FORGET!!!! AVOID THE TRAFFIC! Take advantage of the FREE shuttle bus. Parking and pick up at Hunters Creek Church (2471 Metamora Rd, Lapeer) with stops at the driveway to the balloon field south of the Lions Club and in the Village of Metamora. Bus runs 3 pm to 10 pm on Friday Aug 25 and 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday August 26 (except during the parade at 11:00)

School bus driver wanted for field trips and athletic trips in the Lapeer or Clarkston areas. Wage is $20 per hour, increasing to $21 in September. Experienced and qualified candidate preferred but training may be provided for the right candidate. Training will be paid, as applicable.

Requirements:
• Michigan Chauffeur’s License
• Michigan Class-B Commercial Driver License (CDL)
• P & S Endorsement on the CDL; preferably no air brake restriction.
• Michigan Dept. of Ed. Certificate of Continuing Education for school bus drivers (this training will be provided if applicant already has proper CDL and will not be considered an impediment)
• Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical certification
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug & alcohol screenings for the duration of employment
• Ability to meet approval of school fingerprinting (Livescan)

There may be an opportunity to take on a daily afternoon route for an area private school, if applicant is interested. Lapeer-based buses park indoors just north of the City of Lapeer.

Oxford Community Schools was our second-ever client. The administration was very kind to take a chance on a young transportation company. The community has been very good to us over the years; they have sent us much business; and the school staff (especially transportation) treats us with tremendous warmth and hospitality.
