Before you hit the road, check the mileage between cities, figure out if overnight drives are realistic, and consider whether you’ll need a co-driver to make it safely to the next venue. And don’t forget to factor in the weather, mountain passes in winter, summer traffic, or unexpected storms; any of these can throw a wrench in your plan. The more you think ahead, the smoother your tour days will feel.

If you’re heading to Lititz, be sure to say hello to Sharon. She’ll be the one talking with anyone and everyone about the road, the people, and all the little details that make this industry. She loves hearing your stories just as much as she loves telling a few of her own.

Events like this remind us how important it is to take care of each other out there. Fairness matters. Kindness matters. Collaboration definitely matters. When we work together, the road feels a little lighter and the long days move a little easier.

Every great tour has a secret MVP, and for Corbin Townsend, that title goes to Roush, his ten-year-old MinPin–Chihuahua mix. Roush was born right in Corbin’s home after he rescued a stray who, surprise, turned out to be pregnant. From day one, this little guy has been full of stories.

Roush grew up on the road, and he’s got the charm (and tricks) to prove it. His signature move is a full handstand, sometimes walking across the floor on just his front paws like it’s no big deal. If there were a tour-dog talent show, he’d take home the trophy.

He’s loyal, spirited, and the kind of companion who makes long miles feel a whole lot lighter, which fits right in with our High Road family values. Around here, we believe the road is better when you fill it with good people and good pups, and Roush is proof.

Here’s to the dogs who keep the crew smiling and the wheels turning!

Meet High Road Driver, Bob Danko’s tour dogs, Codie and Daisy! These two four-legged legends have mastered the art of tour life.

Codie is the wise ten-year-old soul of the pair; steady, loyal, and always keeping a gentle eye on the crew. Whether he’s soaking up sunshine by the trailer or greeting new friends with a wag, Codie brings calm to the chaos of the road.

Then there’s Daisy, the 5-year-old firecracker who keeps everyone smiling. She’s all about connection and care, reminding us daily that “girls stick together.” Her bestie list is long, but her bond with Wynonna tops it.

These two know every venue across North America, and they wouldn’t trade the road life for anything. At High Road, we believe touring isn’t just about miles, it’s about the moments (and the tail wags) shared along the way.

Here’s to Codie, Daisy, and every furry friend who makes life on the road a little brighter!
