Yates Dial-a-Ride is proud to partner with The Pure Markette to help Lake County residents get to and from the market at no cost, thanks to support from the NCCHIR Transportation Grant. The Markette opens June 10th!!

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Pam Tjapkes, a former Yates Dial a Ride bus driver and current Volunteer Services driver.

Pam dedicated many years to serving the Lake County community with kindness, compassion, and a caring spirit that touched so many lives. Her commitment to helping others and the friendships she built along the way will never be forgotten.

She will be greatly missed by our staff, riders, volunteers, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Please keep Pam’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. ❤️

Since joining YDART on March 19, 2025 Dan has quickly become someone both riders and teammates can count on. It’s drivers like Dan who turn transportation into something more—connection, care, and community. 💙

Help improve traffic safety in your community!

The West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission and the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council, along with local agencies are working collaboratively to advance regional transportation safety planning in West Michigan. By using this survey, you can anonymously report near-miss incidents and locations that feel unsafe to help identify high-risk areas that can be prioritized in future planning.

Use this survey to report:
⚠️ Near-miss incidents (crashes that were narrowly avoided)
📍 Locations of concern with ongoing safety issues

This effort covers Muskegon, Oceana, Lake, Mason, Newaygo, and Ottawa counties, helping identify problem areas and prevent future crashes.
