As we celebrate School Bus Drivers Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank you for the incredible work you do every single day.

Rain or shine, early mornings and busy afternoons, you are the first friendly face many of our students see at the start of their day. Your commitment to safety, punctuality, and care does not go unnoticed. You play a vital role in our community!

Beyond driving, you demonstrate patience, kindness, and professionalism. You manage changing road conditions, traffic, and schedules with calm focus and dedication. You build positive relationships with students and families.

This Holiday Season🎁

For the 8th year, Safe-Way Hudson collected from school social workers students in the district that may have missed out on Christmas this year. This year we had 39 students.

Drivers, as well as the Hudson Lions Club, donated items or money to be used for these students. We package everything up and deliver the packages to the social workers for distribution.

Toothbrush and toothpaste
Winter hat
Mittens / gloves
Treats (candy, granola bars, chips, etc.)

‼️Hiring School Bus Drivers
Safe Way Bus Co WISC Hudson, WI, USA
= Part-Time

☑️Currently accepting applications for both CDL licensed drivers and Non-CDL drivers (we can train you!) to transport students to and from school. Are you looking to drive 4-5 hrs/day - morning and afternoon shifts? Safe Way Bus Company has driving positions available. We offer 20-25 hrs/week with opportunity for more hours if desired.

• Company paid DOT physical
• Paid Training
• Eligible for bonuses
• Eligible to apply for WI unemployment for non-school days (including summers!)
• Bring your little children on your bus route (with management approval)
• All buses are parked inside a garage
• Vehicles are fueled for you

Bus drivers must have a CDL (commercial driver's license) with School Bus and Passenger endorsements OR be willing to be trained and tested for one. All drivers must be able to pass a background check, DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen and have a good driving record.

This year was our 8th year of making gift packages for students in the district!🎁

Drivers donate gifts and/or money which we use to shop for items for the kids (this is where the majority comes from)

Additionally, it is the 2nd year of the Hudson Lions Club helping with this project!

38 gift packages were made this year♥️

Social Workers at the schools then distribute them to the kids

Packages included donations from Hudson DQ, Joney’s Local, Culvers, as well as Hudson Lions Club

PRE-TRIPPING the bus is a preventative safety measure that is done before each route.

Examples are checking belts on the engine, ensuring tires are in good shape and have correct pressure, checking oil levels, etc.

I’m amazed at the community surrounding Unity School District and its staff that makes this happen! A Homecoming parade with ALL the kids…face painting, crazy colored hairdos, everyone geared up to show their school pride…EAGLE PRIDE!
Police, band, color guard, floats, royalty, local businesses, sports teams, fire trucks and vehicles from Balsam Lake, Milltown, Centuria and Safeway-Way Bus brought up the rear…lights and all. Families lined main street to show their support ❤️ Special thanks to our amazing drivers and staff for pulling off our end of the program! You guys ROCK! It was awesome!!!

It is Wisconsin School Bus Driver Appreciation week! We are celebrating our drivers all week⭐️

*Safe Way Hudson drives approximately 3,998 miles PER DAY transporting kids to/from school … that’s almost 20,000 miles per week!!! (these numbers do not include field trips, athletic trips, etc)

*Safe Way Hudson employees 53 route drivers and 9 charter drivers
