This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a Transportation Department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned/or as necessary.
Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
• Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employee, drivers, warehouses)
• Documents and monitors information related to transportation by verifying the accuracy of data, reports, and forms. Entering data and building loads in appropriated systems; and assisting drivers in dispatching including verifying product quantity, load temperature, direction, load appointment, and load rejections.

An individual must be proficient in each of the competencies listed below to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position.
• Transportation Office Clerical- Listen respond and resolves customer questions and concerns in an accurate, timely, and confidential manner. Processes, verifies, and submits paperwork, creates and maintains organized files, perms data entry, and identifies and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner. Informs management about incorrect, inefficient, or improper processes, procedures, or data related to transportation Uses office equipment and multiple software (for example, copy machines, shredder, Microsoft Windows)
• Judgment: Makes Effective Choices-Uses policies, procedures, and or guides to make good choices. Uses data and facts in order to make day-to-day decisions and involves others as needed. Recognizes what might be a problem and informs those who can correct it.
• Customer Service: Shows care and concern when serving our customers and employees. Asks questions in order to understand and meet customers/employee needs. Finds and uses the right resources (people, products, tools) at the right time in order to resolve customers/employee requests.
