NEMT Transportation Coordinator
Key responsibilities
• Scheduling and dispatching: Plan and schedule patient transport routes, and dispatch drivers to ensure timely arrivals at medical facilities.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, drivers, and medical facilities by answering phones and handling inquiries.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of driver certifications, client information, and transportation logs.
• Logistics: Coordinate the efficient movement of drivers and patients, potentially using specialized software.
• Compliance: Ensure all operations, vehicles, and drivers meet Michigan's NEMT and safety regulations.
Requirements
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including scheduling software and office suites.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and healthcare protocols.
• Experience in customer service or logistics is helpful.
• Valid driver’s License Required
