This was my response to comments that were on a post yesterday about our updated hours. Those comment have been removed, not by me, and not before I saw them. I am sharing my response as a post because I want to make damn sure that those people that need to, will see it!
I want to ty Paula for being the voice of reason. You are absolutely 💯 correct. This is not what we want.
That being said, some of you people are so self absorbed! Your nasty comments, and childish laughs, really p**s me off. NOW,.. it's my turn. We have served the people of this town and the surrounding area for years. I've spend the better part of the past 17 years behind the wheel of a cab, my Mother-in-law Linda for about 14 yrs since my family has had this business. Not that any of you Karen's bothered to ask,...but, anyone that uses us regularly knows that Linda's health has not been good for some time. Bottom line,.. she can not continue driving the night shift! The taxi can't drive it self.
I can't believe that I need to say this, especially to you Michelle...because as you well know, there are no bars left , no night life, and nothing going on in this sh*tty little town anymore. That fact, has been devastating for us. How often do you think we actually get a call to take a drunk home anymore?? Well, I can tell you, almost never! We have continued to operate at night out of a sense of obligation for the few regular work customers that we had after 5 pm. To those customers, I am truly sorry that we can no longer accommodate your evening rides. However, I don't even recognize the name or the person that bi***ed about this. We stayed open, through the entire pandemic and we have stayed open, EVEN when there were entire shifts with no runs at all. We have stayed open even when the village has allowed unlicensed, out of town cabs to run away with our business, without paying for their village permits. The village has alsovallowed roag cabs to operate in Sidney w/o permits, w/o an LLC, a taxii registration and plates, taxi ins, business ins, workers comp, disability, paid family leave, and so on.
To those of you that felt the need to air your negative comments, because you MIGHT need the cab when you're dunk some night. You are welcome for that service that we provided for you the past 17 yrs,and I'm sorry if this necessary change in our hours disturbes you. This however, is MY family, MY business and MY decision.
