Of course not. Uber and Lyft are starting off on the wrong foot. They are overcharging on post. They may be using this time to reexamine their business model - who knows. A simple market analysis would suggest that small-business taxi companies in the area have the lowest rates; henceforth why Uber and Lyft may actually have to compromise their business model to operate on post - a lot to think about. Just ask one of our customers how WE save THEM between $3, $8, $25 (average) on their trips in and around the Fort Drum region. Oh and rides to Syracuse? We are unmatched!!! We've said it time and again that Ubers ride-hailing business strategy does not work - long term it neglects too many considerations facing the industry today, not to mention the playbook they wrote. As the most valuable and disruptive tech company of this century, they are in a position to foster a culture of empowerment and goodwill toward employees, as well as the means to compromise with regulators to assist local and state authorities and taxi commissions so that all could benefit from the innovation of ride-hailing. Travis Kalanick pioneered a vision for mobility in this century, but the corporate strategy now is facing an anti-climax that will further a dark drama as Travis Kalanicks possesses rights to voting shares (majority) and investors (growth at all costs) will determine Ubers next move on the chessboard of ride-hailing influence.
