Good News!!! for those who need to head into the Carolinas from I 81. I 26 is now open with a temporary bridge repair in the Erwin, TN, area. The width restriction is no more than 12 feet. As with all routes, please confirm that it will meet your needs before traveling on it.

Are you traveling through Kansas City on 70 eastbound? READ THIS!!! I70 is closed, crossing the river so they can fix the bridge before it fails. The detour is 670 East. The closure is expected to last through the end of the year.

The eastbound I-70 Lewis and Clark Viaduct over the Kansas River in Kansas City will be closed for emergency repairs after a routine inspection revealed concerns with gusset plates on the eastbound span.
