This week, July 13-19, is Operation Safe Driver Week, a seven-day campaign aimed at improving drivers’ behaviors through education, traffic-enforcement strategies and driver interactions with law enforcement. Throughout the week, law enforcement personnel in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. will identify commercial motor vehicle drivers and/or passenger vehicle drivers engaging in unsafe driving behaviors on our roadways and issue a warning(s) or citation(s). Location: Eagan MN
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $35–$45/hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Justman Freight Lines is hiring a Shop Manager/Mechanic to join and lead our maintenance team. We operate a fleet of 35 Kenworth T680 power units (Cummins X15 engines, automatic transmissions) and 70 trailers, with 10 leased tractors requiring coordination with Ryder. This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee shop operations, perform repairs, and manage inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair modern truck systems (electronics, emissions, etc.)
• Utilize Cummins QuickServe & Insite, Eaton, and Bendix software
• Perform DOT inspections (certification required)
• Coordinate maintenance for leased equipment with Ryder
• Manage shop workflow and parts inventory
• Work with a transportation management system (TMS) to track service and maintenance records
• Lead and organize daily shop operations
Required Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with Cummins X15 engines and modern Class 8 truck systems
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software: Cummins, Eaton, Bendix
• DOT Inspection Certification (required)
• Comfortable using and adapting to new TMS platforms
• Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Valid Class A CDL (not required but highly beneficial)
• Previous experience in a shop management or lead technician role
Additional Info:
• 40-hour work week with occasional on-call needs
