Stopped by the Truckers Against Trafficking booth at the IANA Expo. They train drivers and anyone in transportation to spot human trafficking and report it, and it’s all free.

Part 2 is here. Y’all went crazy over Humble’s driverless truck with no cab, and most of you asked the same thing: how much does it cost?

Here’s what I found. Humble Robotics raised $24M, and the founder helped build one of the first self-driving truck companies. But there’s still no price and no cost per mile. Running a regular truck costs about $2.34 a mile right now, and Humble takes out the driver and the diesel. The catch is the upfront cost, the insurance, and who’s watching it.

And they’re not starting with long haul. They’re starting with ports, rail ramps, and yard moves. That’s our lane.
