📣 Let's dress for success: Here’s a quick reminder about the Volusia County Schools Dress Code

What’s Not Allowed:
❌Clothing that promotes drugs, alcohol, violence, or gangs
❌Items with offensive or suggestive messages
❌Revealing clothing like backless tops, spaghetti straps without a cover-up, or short skirts/shorts
❌Pajamas, boxers, and torn clothing
❌Headwear (hats, hoods, bandanas) unless approved for religious or medical reasons

General Guidelines:
✔️Clothes must be the right size—not too tight or too baggy
✔️Shirts must overlap the waistband (no bare midriffs)
✔️Shorts, skirts, and jumpers must be mid-thigh or longer
✔️ Undergarments must stay covered—even while sitting
✔️ Shoes must be safe for learning (no flip-flops); athletic shoes required for P.E.
✔️ Hoods must stay down inside buildings

An old man sat by the roadside, selling watermelons. His price list was simple:

1 for $3, 3 for $10.

A young man strolled up, eyed the watermelons, and handed over $3 for one.

“That’ll be $3,” the old man said.

The young man smirked, then bought another. And another. Each time, he paid $3.

As he walked away, he chuckled, shaking his head. “Hey old man, I just got three watermelons for $9 instead of $10! Maybe business isn’t your strong suit.”

The old man watched him go, then chuckled to himself.

“People are funny,” he muttered. “They just keep buying three watermelons, thinking they’re outsmarting me…”
