The Seed of Patience:
I started with one luxury white sedan
Patience! Ten years later, 105709 invoices and 2,385 clients served, I can still remember a time when I was giving out more free complimentary rides than I was charging in the first year of business. Building a clientele isn’t easy—it requires grit, determination, and patience. If anyone reading this story can relate to me, then you know that patience is something I’ve had to mature and grow in. It’s one of the fruits of the spirit that, as a Christian, we’re called to nurture and produce in our everyday lives - Galatians 5:22-23.
I look back at my very first year in business: we made $9,000 in revenue over the six months that year, then $35,000 the next, and $80,000 the year after. You get the picture. Those early seeds of networking rides, referrals from clients, and preparing the sedan (car washes, tire shine, mints, and water) all paid off—along with being available to serve and book reservations, even at all hours of the night! It was hard work, but it paid off in major ways: contracts, high-profile clients, a college football team, and a base of loyal, faithful customers.

Remember, no matter what you’re working on in life, patience is a fruit you will have to produce over time. We started with one client on June 19, 2015, and look how far we’ve come.
