Happy Fifth Cake Day to Fair Play Motor Freight LLC!

This picture was taken exactly five years and one day ago; and it is our truck being loaded with the very first revenue generating freight we hauled as a business entity. In ways it feels like this was five minutes ago, in ways it feels like it was five decades ago. In the last five years I have felt it all having left this office in tears, laughing out loud, deeply saddened and on top of the world.

These days a day's worth of revenue is more than an entire week back then. Currently we roll almost 40,000 miles per week. We now offer health insurance, receive steep fuel discounts, run dedicated freight and all kinds of other cool developments that we didn't have access to back then.

I am profoundly grateful to everyone that has played a role in this journey. I have the greatest team in the state of TN and you can't change my mind. My drivers are fantastic. My shipper clients keep this fleet moving at maximum velocity. My vendors keep us in the equipment we need.

Through it all we have clung to the same exact Standard Operating Procedure of pick up and deliver on time. If we can't, we pick up the phone and rat on ourselves. Simple, not easy. It is never a fun phone call to make, but the respect it has earned us along the way has paid off in a big way.

Like my paternal Grandpa, Dad, and Father in Law I drove a truck for a living. There is a burning desire deep within me to continue their legacy and build something here to last generations down the line. It puts my feet on the floor every morning.

I'd like to thank God for blessing me with this dream and keeping me sober so that I can chase it.
