*NEW Transportation Option for Dubuque-Area Travelers Begins March 1*
Keeping Tri-State Travelers in Iowa
DBQ-CID - An Iowa ground transportation company is starting a new option for Dubuque-area travelers to connect with the Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) beginning March 1.
Anaman Concierge Service (ACS), a solution-based passenger transportation provider serving the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area since 2017, was recently granted a permit from the Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) to provide passengers ground transportation to and from their flights at CID.
Through this agreement, Anaman will provide curb-to-curb service from DBQ to CID. Dubuque-area residents flying through CID will be picked up by an Anaman vehicle at the Captain Robert L. Martin Terminal at DBQ. They will be driven to CID and dropped off at their airline ticket counter. Following their return flight, Anaman will pick them up at CID’s baggage claim and drive them back to DBQ.
Anaman plans to have the first shuttle ride on March 1. Travelers can make reservations through Anaman’s website, anamancs.com. Shuttles transporting passengers from Dubuque to Cedar Rapids will leave Dubuque at 2 a.m., 7 a.m., 12 p.m., and 5 p.m. daily.
Return trips from Cedar Rapids would run from 9:30 a.m. until midnight. The shuttle is expected to cost $40 plus tax for each leg of the trip during regular business hours. The fare will climb to $50 plus tax outside of business hours.
“This partnership supports the Dubuque Regional Airport’s mission to serve as a transportation hub and facilitate access to air service while we continue to pursue commercial flights,” said Dubuque Regional Airport Manager Todd Dalsing. “It’s an opportunity to take advantage of our free parking and let someone else do the driving to Cedar Rapids.”
Felix Anaman, CEO of ACS, said his company is always looking at ways to make travel easier for people.
“I'm a bit passionate when it comes to seeing people in need. I want to try as much as possible in my own small way to provide a solution," Anaman said.
CID Airport Director Marty Lenss said one of the goals of this service is to keep Tri-States’ travelers flying out of an Iowa airport.
“We have had a longstanding relationship with Anaman and know the premium service his company provides. This option gives the Dubuque area a great way to use CID with our 17 nonstop flights and more than 400 one-stop connections,” Lenss said.
With the March 1 start date, the ground shuttle service will provide the hundreds of college students in the Dubuque area a safe and easier way to fly for spring break and throughout the college year.
