Yesterday we set out for the Inishowen Peninsula, the northernmost point in Ireland, and enjoyed a day filled with history, scenery, and warm Irish hospitality.

Our first stop was Lloyd’s Signal Tower, where guests had time to explore the historic tower and take a peaceful walk down to the nearby beach. The views over the coastline offered a beautiful start to the day.

We continued on to Farren’s Bar, proudly known as Ireland’s most northern pub. Here we relaxed with traditional Irish coffee and soaked in the charm of this remote landmark.

Returning to Derry, everyone enjoyed a free afternoon to explore the city at their own pace — whether strolling the famous walls, visiting local shops, or simply unwinding.

We concluded the day with a hosted dinner and lively local entertainment, a wonderful way to come together and celebrate the spirit of the region.

Yesterday our Shades of Ireland adventure carried us from the coastal charm of Sligo to the historic walled city of Derry, with a day full of culture, craftsmanship, and memorable moments.

Our morning began in Donegal, where we visited Triona, a family‑run clothing house renowned for its centuries‑old tradition of handwoven wool. Guests were welcomed with a classic Irish coffee before enjoying a live weaving demonstration that showcased the artistry and heritage behind their craft.
With time to explore at leisure, many wandered through the town, visited Donegal Castle, browsed local shops, or simply enjoyed the relaxed pace of this picturesque village.

We continued north into Northern Ireland, arriving in Derry for a guided tour that offered insight into the city’s layered history, vibrant culture, and iconic city walls. It was a meaningful introduction to this remarkable place.

The day concluded with a hosted dinner at Browns in Town, a Michelin‑starred restaurant where we enjoyed exceptional cuisine and warm hospitality — the perfect finish to a full and memorable day.
