Winter Driving Bag - When driving in winter, make sure you have a "go bag" or winter bag in your vehicle, (both cars and trucks). I was once stuck on I-70 for over 8 hours on Vail Pass due to an avalanche. After about 4 hours, my truck stopped running due to low fuel and the fact that the fuel in the tank was all on the back side of the tank due to the incline. After this, I make it a point to never get below a quarter of a tank of fuel. To say the least, it was a learning lesson and I was thankfull for every stitch of clothing I had. Eventually, we were all rescued by DOT, but it could have been much worse. In my winter bag, I like to keep things like extra food and water (trail mix, energy bars etc) Coveralls, Extra warm gloves, Ski hat(bright color for visibility), a candle(in a metal container - this will keep you from freezing in extreme situations, obviously, extreme care must be used and only in an emergency), extra socks, hand warmers etc. Anyway, with that said, let me know what you think, and what is in your winter bag?
