My Job Is Simple, But It Matters!
In the trucking world, buying the wrong truck can cost you far more than the purchase price. Downtime, unexpected repairs, poor fuel economy, or a spec that doesn’t fit your operation can hurt your business fast.
That’s where I come in.
My job is simple:
to make sure you get the right truck: used or new based on your needs, your budget, and your operation.
Not what looks good on paper.
Not what someone is trying to move off a lot.
Not what works for most people.
What works for you.
Every operation is different. A regional fleet has different priorities than an owner-operator. A dump truck application isn’t the same as over-the-road freight. Specs, gearing, mileage, and the ability to have an honest conversation about whether a warranty makes sense for your situation (or doesn’t) all matter and should be explained clearly, not glossed over.
I believe buyers deserve:
• Honest, straightforward answers
• Real-world insight from experience
• Clear guidance on when a warranty adds value and when it may not
Whether you’re actively shopping or just exploring options, I’m always willing to talk through questions, explain trade-offs, and help you make an informed decision; even if that means waiting or walking away from a deal.
If you’re exploring options or just want real answers, reach out.
Message me directly or connect here if you’re planning your next truck purchase, evaluating your current equipment, or simply want to talk through your options.
With the right truck and the right professional, you’ll be miles ahead.

Even tire tread isn’t optional — it’s safety, savings, and DOT compliance

On a Class 8 truck, tires on the same axle must stay within about 2/32 of an inch in tread depth. When that difference is exceeded, the tires no longer roll at the same diameter.

That mismatch forces the axle and differential to constantly compensate, even while driving straight. One tire is trying to turn faster than the other, creating:

Continuous internal stress on the differential
Excess heat in the axle assembly
Premature wear to gears, bearings, and seals
From a safety standpoint, this matters because:

The truck can pull under braking
Stability is reduced in wet or emergency conditions
ABS and traction control may react incorrectly due to uneven wheel speed
Over time, that stress can lead to axle failure, locked differentials, or driveline damage—all of which can cause sudden loss of control or roadside breakdowns.

Bottom line:
More than **2/32" difference isn’t just tire wear — it’s a safety risk and a direct threat to your axle. Keeping tread even keeps the truck stable, predictable, and safe.

Good morning

I put together a short video to help our used truck owners better understand the normal movement in Mack hood pins. A little play in the hood is completely normal and designed that way. Part 3 of this video shows what frozen hood pins look like when they are in need of replacement, so you can easily tell the difference between normal operation and an actual issue. Hopefully this helps clear up any concerns and gives you confidence in how your truck should operate. As always, I’m here if you have any questions.

Building Value, Driving Success: Highlights from the Mack Premium Dealer Group Meeting in San Diego

Over the past two days, I had the privilege of joining fellow dealers, managers, and industry leaders at the Mack Premium Dealer Group Meeting held at the beautiful Marriott Marquis in San Diego. The event was packed with valuable insights, collaboration, and forward-thinking strategies that continue to strengthen our dealer network and elevate the customer experience.

Day one kicked off with a warm welcome from Rylie Allen, Marketing Manager at Volvo Group, followed by a Corporate Update from Danny Mirts, Director of Remarketing. From there, the sessions dove straight into core business value — exploring how to unlock trade-in potential and enhance vehicle valuations, led by Jessica Walkingstick, and a dynamic discussion on boosting sales efficiency and ex*****on, facilitated by the Premium Dealer Council.

A Market Update and Discussion from Seth Gatto, Market Intelligence Manager, provided a comprehensive look at current industry trends and performance data. The afternoon featured an AI Workshop presented by Jonathan Berkley from Baltimore Potomac Truck Center, demonstrating how artificial intelligence tools are reshaping remarketing and customer engagement.

Additional sessions covered Certified Warranty Program Updates, and a Finance Panel Discussion featuring experts from Volvo Financial Services and partner dealerships, highlighting strategies to help customers drive more value through finance solutions. The day concluded with networking at the Bayside Lounge, where meaningful connections and ideas flowed as easily as the evening breeze off the bay.

Day two built on that momentum, opening with a Peer Exchange on Social Media Strategies, where dealers shared practical approaches to online engagement and brand storytelling. The Follow-Ups That Drive Results session reinforced the power of persistence and relationship-building in today’s competitive market. The day wrapped up with the Dealer-Only Meeting and Elections, and a final Regroup Session led by the Premium Dealer Council and Volvo Group Remarketing — focusing on alignment and shared goals for the coming year.

This year’s meeting was more than just an agenda of topics — it was a reminder that collaboration, innovation, and customer focus are what truly drive our success as a dealer network. A huge thank you to Volvo Group, the Premium Dealer Council, and all the presenters for putting together such an engaging and impactful event.

Here’s to another strong year ahead — continuing to build value, efficiency, and trust with every truck we sell and every customer we serve

I had the honor of joining the Stttream Podcast!
What a fantastic opportunity to share my story and passion for selling used trucks. For me, it’s not just about moving iron, it’s about helping people, especially first-time owner-operators, find the right truck to start or grow their business.
I got to speak about my philosophy of sales, why trust matters, and how giving my best to every customer is something I take seriously. This industry has given me a lot, and I’m grateful to be able to give something back every time I help someone get on the road with confidence.
Being part of this podcast reminded me how proud I am to do what I do and be part of a hardworking community that believes in doing things right.
I’d be honored if you gave it a listen, dropped a comment, and shared it with anyone who might enjoy it or find it helpful.
And as always, if you’re looking for a used truck, have questions, or just want to talk shop, I’m here to help.
Thanks for your continued support!
