We’re always looking for ways to keep safety front and center for our drivers.

For the past few years, we’ve run the Cargo Lytx Score Challenge (CLSC) — a bracket-style competition where drivers go head-to-head each week based on their safety performance.

It’s been a fun way to reward consistency, encourage safe driving, and give drivers something to rally around.

Each week, we put together a quick highlight video to recap the action — and with the tournament now down to the Elite 8, things are getting competitive.

Since 1966, Cargo Transporters, Inc., Catawba Truck Rental, Inc., and Cargo Integrated Logistics, Inc. have grown from a small rental and leasing company into a trusted transportation, logistics, and warehousing partner.

In February of 1981, Terry Hefner joined the Cargo Transporters family — and 45 years later, he’s still going strong.

Over the decades, a lot has changed in trucking. The equipment, the trucks, and the industry itself have all evolved. But one thing has stayed the same: Terry’s dedication to the job and to the people around him.

We had a great week in Orlando at the Truckload Carriers Association’s Truckload 2026 Conference!

While there, we were proud to receive our 2026 TCA Elite Fleet Award and celebrate the commitment our team makes every day to supporting our drivers and building a strong culture.

It was also great to see our President & CEO, Dennis Dellinger, share his perspective during a panel discussion with other leaders in the trucking industry.

Congrats to Scott Lord, our March Driver of the Month! Scott joined Cargo in 2019 and is nearing 1 million miles, currently at 883K.

He was nominated for his incredible work ethic and professional attitude. Scott says being chosen out of 500 drivers makes you truly appreciate the company — and we appreciate him right back!

The Brackets are Set. The Competition Is Officially Underway.

The Play-In rounds are complete and the full field for the 2026 CLSC Tournament is now locked in.

Round of 64 matchups are underway, and the road to the championship has officially begun.

In this video, Fleet Leader Lamar Dixon takes a closer look at some of the drivers he has competing in this year’s tournament and shares his thoughts as the competition gets rolling.

As always, while the bracket brings excitement and friendly competition, the CLSC is rooted in what matters most:
