The construction, led by the Chicago Department of Transportation, will rehabilitate the 109-year-old bridge so it can continue serving as a vital connection for transit riders, motorists, pedestrians, and river traffic into Chicago’s Central Business District.

The Loomis entrance at the Racine Blue Line station has a new(-ish) look 😎
Located at 431 S. Loomis Street, the retro-style signage preserves the station's historic character while complementing the modernized, accessible main entrance on Racine Avenue.

My administration is committed to building a safer and more accessible transportation system that puts the needs of working people first. By creating a dedicated bus lane on Michigan Avenue, we are reducing delays, improving service, and ensuring that the thousands of Chicagoans who rely on public transit to get to work and attend school can get where they need to go.

CTA salutes the life and legacy of Dolly Parton on Dolly Parton Day. Through her Imagination Library, she put more than 200 million books into the hands of young children, and she believed the journey to a bright future starts early. That belief lives on at CTA, where our new children's benches give our youngest riders a space of their own. Today, the Pink Line carries a little extra meaning, and to everyone working 9-to-5 (and every shift in between), we're proud to get you there.
