Trucking Company is in search of a FULL-TIME Safety Clerk to bring on board immediately.
Candidate will perform a variety of clerical and administrative functions under the direction of a manager.
Some functions will include:
• Answering phones and email inquiries.
• Assisting applicants with on boarding process including all required documents.
• Assisting drivers with compliance related questions and documentation.
• Paper and E-log auditing.
• Track and maintain fleet safety compliance records.
• Maintain department paperwork and electronic filing system.
• Maintain driver DOT files.
• Maintain truck DOT files.
• Complete employment verification.
• Ensure all documenting and reporting of accident/incidents.
• Assist with on-boarding and training as needed.
• Maintain and update safety and compliance records.
• Complete previous employment, MVR and background checks on applicants.
• Setup pre-employment drug screens and schedule random drug screens.
• Complete various administrate functions and perform data entry into company software.
• Keep management informed of issues, postings, and status of recruiting process.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
**** MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT WORD & EXCEL ****
Preferred but not required:
- 1 year transportation experience.
- DOT Compliance Certified
