Today, we remember more than a million Armenians whose lives were tragically taken from them in one of the most brutal genocides in recorded history. At the hands of the Ottoman Empire thousands upon thousands of women, men, mothers, fathers, boys, and girls were executed in both group massacres and individual attacks during the height of the first World War. What was meant to disintegrate the proud nation of Armenia has strengthened our togetherness in commemorating the spirit of our people and what we stood for then, that continues to drive our hard-working and compassionate ethics to this day. Thank you.
