Handi-Lift is a trusted provider of safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals needing assistance getting to and from medical appointments, treatments, and other essential destinations. We are seeking dependable and caring drivers to join our growing team.

Job Summary:
As an NEMT Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe, timely, and professional transportation for clients, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. You’ll ensure each passenger has a comfortable experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, facilities, and other approved destinations.
Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle when needed, ensuring dignity and safety.
Operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage, and client documentation as required.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and caregivers.
Provide courteous, professional, and compassionate service at all times

Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to assist clients with mobility limitations (training provided)
Comfortable sitting, driving, and assisting passengers for extended periods.

Handi-Lift is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher/Scheduler to join our team. This role is essential in coordinating daily transportation services and ensuring efficient, timely scheduling for our customers.

This position will begin in-office with the opportunity to transition into a work-from-home role once fully trained and established.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers using RouteGenie software
- Coordinate daily routes and adjust schedules as needed
- Communicate with drivers to ensure timely service
- Monitor trips and resolve scheduling or routing issues in real time
- Provide excellent customer service via phone
- Maintain accurate records and updates within the system

Schedule:
Full-time (8 hours per day)
Shift times will vary between 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Northwest Wisconsin roads, cities, and surrounding areas
Comfortable using computer systems (experience with RouteGenie is a plus, but not required)
Reliable and self-motivated—especially for future remote work

We are saddened to share the passing of Stephen “Steve” Burgess, a valued member of the Handi-Lift team, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Many of our customers had the opportunity to know Steve through his work and interactions over the years. He took great pride in serving our customers and representing Handi-Lift with professionalism, kindness, and care. His dedication did not go unnoticed, and his absence will be deeply felt by both our team and those he served.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we mourn the loss of our coworker and friend. Our thoughts and condolences are with Steve’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Thank you for helping us honor Steve’s memory.
