J.L.White Mortuary Transport, LLC a vibrant growing company based in Metro GA is currently seeking highly professional full time and part time mortuary removal and transport technicians. Successful candidates will train on established operational protocols and work along-side experienced transporters in support of mortuary operations. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Activities and responsibilities anticipated to be performed:
Perform the removal and transport of deceased persons from residences,
hospitals, police, medical examiners and nursing homes.
Delivery of the deceased to funeral homes, donor services facilities and medical examiner offices.
On occasion, there will be long distance transports required (out-of-town and out-of-state.)
Provide competent, professional, and discrete care and attention to the families of the deceased at all times.
Maintain a clean work vehicle provided by J.L.White Mortuary Transport,LLC.
Position Requirements:
Able to perform under stressful situations
Ability to lift 100 pounds unassisted
Able to communicate with compassion
Ability to complete paperwork with exactness, detailed oriented is required
High School Graduate
Black tie and white dress shirt / company polo required (more details provided during interview)
Valid Driver’s License
Tattoos can not be visible while wearing a suit.
Available nights and weekends
Ability to pass a background investigation
Clean, neat, professional appearance at all times
Training:
Our training program is on-the-job, hands on training, so you will begin being paid on your first day of work.
VERY IMPORTANT: You will be "on-call" 24 hours a day with two days off per week.
During your “on-call” time, you will be required to have your phone with you at all times and be available to respond within a 5 - 10 minute timeframe. You will be contacted and given the name, location and destination for the deceased person.
The average local call for service (we consider local service to be Atlanta and surrounding areas) will take 1.5 to 2 hours to complete and sometimes less.
During the time you are “on-call” you continue on with your daily life as long as doing so allows you enough time to respond to a call once you receive one from J.L.White Mortuary Transport dispatch.
Pay:
For this Full-Time/Part-Time position you will be compensated per transport.
