Thank You, Abba, for leading me here. It’s very fitting to me that we step off on this journey today, this Good Friday. Your timing is always perfect and I cannot wait to see what You will do through us over the next six weeks. We praise You, Lord. We Love You. We will go and serve You, God.

”One who walks righteously and speaks with integrity, One who rejects unjust gain And shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; One who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed And shuts his eyes from looking at evil; He will dwell on the heights, His refuge will be the impregnable rock; His bread will be given him, His water will be sure.“

Word from the Bossman:

This is a quick read, so I would appreciate just a moment of your time.

Serving on a Transition Team in Iraq was one of the most challenging experiences of my Marine Corps career but opened my eyes to serving others in a capacity much greater than ourselves. During this time, my team provided security for a UN Inspection team who was there to check on a Sudanese refugee camp. What I saw changed my perspective and grew my love for helping others, especially in the most austere conditions.

After our initial visit, we all wrote home and asked for folks to send whatever they could to help these people. The outpouring of support and love from others back home undoubtedly left a mark on their hearts. The images of this experience began to resurface this year, and I simply could not ignore what our Father was calling me to do. "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." (Luke 10:2)

Because God designed us to live life in community, I cannot do this on my own. This is where I need people like you to consider partnering with me. There are two specific needs that I have:

1) To be covered in prayer before, during, and after my DTS. This is vital to any ministry, and I would love for you to tell me specifically if you will be praying for me! I will be sending out updates. If you do not want to be included in social media posts and updates, please let me know so that I can respect that request.

2) I will need to raise $3,645 for the first three months, and $2,000-4,000 to cover the cost of my outreach phase. I would humbly ask that you prayerfully consider financially partnering with me as I begin this journey. There are a few easy ways you can send me your support! The best way to sow into this is directly through the school online at pay.ywamtyler.org or by phone at (903) 509-5306. *Donations given for the lecture phase of training are not tax-deductible, but donations towards the outreach phase are. There are also other ways to give, so please reach out to me via PM or please feel free to email me at [email protected].

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for being a part of this amazing adventure the Lord is taking me on!

In Christ,

Joseph Banas

It’s been awhile since I posted an update regarding Emmaus Road Transport, so I figured since it is November already, I better post an update before the end of the year.

As the summer was in full swing, and operations kept taking me out of state, God put a calling on my life to seek out a school of ministry, in preparation, for what was to come. I am so grateful that I was led to the ACTS School of Ministry at House Denver in Colorado. (https://acts.global/school) It has led me to become intimate with God in ways I never imagined, has increased my knowledge of the Holy, and has taught me more about my faith and prayer life more than any other experience I’ve ever had. This adventure will come to a close soon, and I’ve been faced with the challenge of either going back into hotshot trucking (I surrendered my DOT and MC in order to be here in Denver) or continue on the path that God has set me on. Easy choice, for me.

All this to say that I have decided to continue pursuing my calling into the missionary fields, wherever it is that God is calling me to go. This doesn’t come without expense, however, so I will be tweaking Emmaus Road Transport, LLC into a company that can be used to finance missionary work. If anyone of my friends, associates, or curious parties would like to provide feedback on how to change the name of an LLC (Transport won’t get the job done anymore, I don’t think) then I’d very much appreciate a pm, text, email, or phone call on the subject.

Thank you so much for all the support over the past year! Anyone who is still following this, y’all’s encouragement and enthusiasm really made it fun and exciting! I loved every second of it, but it’s time to move it on down the road. Anyone interested in buying a gooseneck trailer?

Love y’all,

A message from the Owner/Operator/Bossman:

I have some amazing news! I will be placing the operating authority for Emmaus Road Transport on pause until the end of the year, and the timing couldn’t have been better! It has been such an amazing adventure so far, but the Lord moves in mysterious ways, and I must chose to follow His direction. Trust me when I tell you, this is all for His glory and it is absolutely all for the greater good! I cannot wait to see what the next chapter will look like. Stay tuned next year, when all things start fresh and anew again.

I had such an excellent time this past week trekking through America’s heartland. From Texas to Nebraska, Nebraska to Missouri, Missouri to Iowa, and now I’m finally back to Texas after limping my old trailer back home. A huge thank you to Adam and the folks at Twister Trailer in Fort Scott, KS who did everything they could to get me back up and running safely. Unfortunately, I think these old 8k # torsion axles have had enough and will need to be replaced. All in all, though, it has been quite a journey and I learned a tremendous amount in the process, like verify the weight and dimensions that the broker gives you before you try to put something on your trailer. The baler in the picture was actually 17,000 lbs, not 7,000. There was no chance of it going on my old dinosaur! Needless to say, I’ll be looking for a replacement/upgraded trailer real soon.
