I have spent the last few days with sleepless nights and in utter disbelief. Friday my dear friend, who was almost a brother to me, ALex Weeks died in a crash. He was an amazing person who loved every minute he spent on this earth with his family and friends. He leaves behind a wife and two young children and many other family members that need our prayers more than ever in this difficult time.
I met this man a little over 3 years ago by chance. Just because I decided to try the tire shop in the small town we had just moved to. We quickly became friends. Just recently we discovered that he was part of the same Echota Cherokee tribe as my family. We also discovered that him and his family were also very close to my Aunt, Uncle and cousins and he grew up going over there all the time just as I did. We felt like we should have met each other many years before we did. By chance we never met before we did, but by fate we did finally meet and had a wonderful friendship full of great memories. He will be forever missed and in my thoughts every day.
