🌻Kindness makes our 🚇trains and 🚌buses go ‘round! Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Kindness Day booth at 📍Bishan station on 21 May.

With 🦁Singa the Kindness Lion and ’s Kindness Express ambassadors, the Dotties, bringing colour and energy to the booth, we shared simple gracious commuting habits and reminded commuters that small acts of kindness can transform journeys into more pleasant and enjoyable experiences.

We showcased our dementia wayfinding cues, which support commuters with special needs in navigating the station more confidently. Through the 😃games, 🧑‍🎨caricatures, 🎤🎵music performances, and 🎈goodie bags, we hope commuters left with a smile and a stronger awareness that kindness makes a difference to everyday journeys.

Over at Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub, our Buses colleagues showed their support with a Kindness Wall, in partnership with Singapore Kindness Movement. A massive thanks to MOE Kindergarten @ Huamin for the heartfelt notes contributed by their K1 students, who wrote kindness messages to thank our Bus Captains.

Our appreciation to Mr Cai Yinzhou 蔡引舟, Adviser for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC GROs for gracing the event, alongside SMRT management and our valued partners, Singapore Kindness Movement and Dementia Singapore, for their continued support in helping us foster a kinder and more accessible public transport network.

🌻A kinder journey begins with us. This Kindness Month, let us remember that small gracious habits can make someone else’s ride, and day, a little brighter.

One full circle🟠: Ahead of the opening as part of the completed Circle Line, Cantonment station offered a rare preview of the completed Circle Line's final stretch. The LASALLE College of the ArtsE graduate fashion showcase provided a glimpse of the station through a creative lens. 👚

The larger milestone is what comes next: Circle Line 6 will soon serve commuters and close the Circle Line loop. Trains looks forward to opening the door to welcome commuters with safe, reliable, and people-centered journeys.

Here's a sneak peak of Circle Line 6 coming your way. We will see you soon.

Keeping commuters connected during the TEL Late Opening 🚍

Over the weekend, our teams were on the ground supporting the Thomson-East Coast Line Late Opening shuttle bus operations, working closely with Land Transport Authority – We Keep Your World Moving and fellow public transport operators to keep commuters moving while essential rail works continue.

From 22 May to 4 July 2026, TEL train services will end earlier on Friday nights and start later on Saturday mornings to support final systems integration testing for the upcoming TEL extension. During the affected Saturday mornings, shuttle bus services will be available to help commuters complete their journeys.

Behind the scenes, our teams are doing our best to ensure the shuttle bus operations runs smoothly, from coordinated ground deployment to reliable commuter support across the affected stations. 🤝

Thank you to our ground teams, bus captains, service controllers, and partners for keeping operations safe, smooth, and connected. ✅

Honoured to host the NTUC Singapore WSH Committee Learning Journey at SMRT Buses’ Woodlands Depot 🚌, where we had the opportunity to share our workplace safety journey, operational initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

The learning journey provided a valuable platform for cross-sharing and discussions on how SMRT Buses leverages technology, operational excellence, and strong ground engagement to strengthen both workplace and road safety. 🦺

During the session, the NTUC WSH Committee members were introduced to:
• SMRT Buses’ safety culture and WSH initiatives
• Support programmes for mature workers
• Fatigue management systems and AI-enabled interventions 🤖
• Operations Control Centre (OCC) monitoring and fatigue alert response processes
• Workshop Kaizen initiatives focused on enhancing safety and operational efficiency ⚙️

A key highlight of the learning journey was the live demonstration of our fatigue alert detection system onboard the bus, showcasing how technology supports our Bus Captains and enhances commuter safety. 🚍

We also appreciated the engaging discussions and meaningful exchange of ideas with the NTUC WSH Committee members as we collectively work towards strengthening workplace safety and health practices across industries. 🤝

At SMRT Buses, safety remains our top priority as we continue to uphold our “Think Safety, Work Safely, Go Home Safe” culture through innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

We are at the third stop of our 4-part ’s "Most Beautiful MRT Stations" series 📷, and this time, we are turning up the colour with stations that each have their own bold identity⚡

❗Bonus clue and fun fact: This station's vibrant red is not just a colour choice. Its name is linked to local folklore involving a clever boy, swordfish and a jealous king. Think you know the stations? Drop your guesses in the comments below! 😉
