​To all our hardworking drivers, gig workers, and community members powering Singapore's rides—especially informal networks and groups keeping the wheels turning day and night—help is here to ease the financial squeeze! 🤝

​With the cost of living on everyone's mind, the Enhanced Budget 2026 Cost-of-Living (COL) Special Payment is rolling out starting 9 September 2026 to support over 2.4 million eligible Singapore citizens.

​💰 What You Need to Know About the Payouts

​Cash Support: Eligible adult Singapore citizens (aged 21 and above in 2026) will receive between $400 and $600 in cash to help lighten daily household and operational expenses.

​Eligibility Criteria: Open to citizens with an Assessable Income for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2025 of up to $100,000 who own no more than one property. Annual Value of place of residence is also factored in to support those with lesser means.

​📅 Key Dates & Payout Modes

​Automatic Distribution: Payments start dropping automatically from 9 September 2026.

​Check Eligibility: You can easily check your status by logging in with your Singpass at govbenefits.gov.sg.

​Notification Channels: Eligible recipients will receive SMS notifications before and after funds are credited (letters will be sent to those without a Singpass-registered mobile number).

​⚠️ Important: Guard Against Scams!

​As you hustle on the road, stay alert against opportunistic scammers:

​Official SMSes from “gov.sg” will only inform you of your benefits.

​Gov.sg will never ask you to reply to the SMS, click any links, or provide personal information.

​Government officials will NEVER ask you to transfer money or disclose bank log-in details over a phone call.

​If you encounter anything suspicious, call the 24/7 ScamShield Helpline at 1799.

✅ Give Space: Double your following distance; visibility is low.
✅ Slow Down: Adjust speed to the conditions, not just the limit.

E-SEPADU is the official online portal launched by Singapore's Tabung Amal Aidilfitri (TAA) Trust Fund to process financial aid applications securely and fully online.

Applications for the upcoming Ramadan 2027 Financial Aid cycle open soon on the sepadu.sg official platform

Seniors aged 65 and above: Applications open from 7 September 2026 onwards.

Other eligible applicants: Applications open from 5 October 2026 until late November 2026.

Core Application Requirements

To apply for assistance through the portal, applicants must meet the following citerias:

Identity: Must be a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident.

Household Limit: Only one application is permitted per family living in the same household.

Target Group: Primarily supports low-income households, underprivileged families (typically with a Per Capita Income of $500 and below), and vulnerable seniors or individuals facing chronic health conditions.

Required Documents to Prepare

You will need to scan and upload digital copies of the following documents through the portal:

Identification: NRIC of the applicant (front and back).

Household NRICs/Certificates: Copies of NRICs for all household members aged 15 and above, or birth certificates for children under 15.

Income Verification: Latest 3 months of payslips or employment verification letters for all working household members.

Status Certificates: Relevant certificates if applicable (e.g., Marriage, Divorce, or Death certificates).

Note: For applicants who are not tech-savvy or lack internet access, TAA sets up physical E-SEPADU kiosks at designated community locations where staff and volunteers provide hands-on assistance.
