"Hold on firmly to the grab poles and hand grips at all times, especially when the bus is moving!" ๐ŸšŒ

This was one of the simple but crucial bus safety tips ๐Ÿซถ we shared with visitors during the Singapore Road Safety Month 2026 Carnival. ๐ŸŽˆ

Organised by the Singapore Road Safety Council and Singapore Police Force at Our Tampines Hub, the event brought together the community, partners and road users to champion safer roads for all. โœจ

We were honoured to welcome Guest of Honour, Ms Sim Ann ๆฒˆ้ข–, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs, to our booth, where we shared how SBS Transit leverages technology and training to enhance safety ๐Ÿค for our passengers, Bus Captains and fellow road users.

Visitors tried out iSMART, our mixed reality training simulator that allows Bus Captains to practise their customer service skills in an immersive environment. ๐ŸšThey also had the chance to sit in the Bus Captainโ€™s seat to experience the blind spots of the bus, gaining a better understanding of why keeping a safe distance from buses matters.

Weโ€™re glad to be part of this meaningful event and to impart important road and bus safety reminders in a fun and engaging way. Together, we can all play our part in making every journey a safer and more pleasant one. ๐Ÿงก

The carnival runs for one more day, so come by our booth, and we'll be delighted to share more with you. ๐ŸŽ‰

Huge thanks to everyone who participated in our sustainability workshops ๐ŸŒฑ at Beauty World and Sengkang MRT Station earlier this month! ๐Ÿ™

Together, we transformed everyday materials such as fabric scraps and used beverage cartons into chic and unique coasters. These hands-on sessions showed that upcycling can be simple, practical and incredibly fun too! ๐Ÿ˜

It was encouraging to see commuters, families and children stopping by to get creative and take part in the coaster-making workshops. One especially heartwarming moment was seeing a pair of siblings carefully craft coasters for their mother, complete with a sweet "Happy Mother's Day" message that added a meaningful personal touch to the activity. ๐Ÿต๏ธโค๏ธ

We truly appreciate everyone who supported this initiative. Do look out for more eco-friendly and community activities at our transport spaces in the future!

๐Ÿฅน โ€œShe burst into tears when she saw the ring again,โ€ recalled Senior Bus Captain Teo Lai Huat. โ€œI could tell how much it meant to her.โ€

It started with a routine end-of-trip inspection. After parking his bus at Kent Ridge Terminal, Lai Huat did what he does after every journey โ€” doing a thorough check of the bus to make sure nothing had been left behind. ๐Ÿ” That's when he spotted it: a diamond ring ๐Ÿ’ on the floor.

Knowing it was likely to hold deep sentimental value for its owner, he immediately reported the find and handed it over to his supervisor for safekeeping. The next morning, a worried lady called in and was relieved to learn that the ring had been found. โœจ When she arrived to collect the ring, she was so overwhelmed with relief and gratitude that she burst into tears.

โ€œIt was the right thing to do,โ€ Lai Huat shared humbly. โ€œI just hoped that the ring could be returned to its rightful owner as soon as possible.โ€ ๐Ÿ™

The ring may have been worth thousands, but the honesty, empathy and sense of responsibility Lai Huat showed without a second thought were truly priceless. Thank you, Lai Huat, for looking out for our passengers with so much heart! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ‘

Sometimes, a small act of kindness can make a difficult moment a little easier. โค๏ธ

Earlier this year, Mr Isaac Goh was on his journey home when he noticed a commuter vomiting on board a North East Line train. ๐Ÿš‡ Without hesitation, he stepped forward to help.

Using a plastic bag he had with him and with help from fellow commuters who offered tissues and wet wipes, Mr Goh cleaned up ๐Ÿงฝ the vomit and comforted the commuter throughout the journey. His thoughtful actions reflected care not only for someone in need, but also consideration for fellow the other commuters around him.

For his kindness and swift actions, Mr Goh was presented with a ๐Ÿ“œCertificate of Appreciation for Caring Commuters ๐Ÿ’• by the Public Transport Council this morning.

Thank you, Mr Goh, for showing us that every act of care, big or small, can make a difference. Letโ€™s continue to look out for one another and play our part in making every journey a pleasant one for all. ๐Ÿ’œ

โœ…Pause. โœ…Check. โœ…Make it Safe.

Just three simple actions, but they can make a world of difference. โœจ

At , safety is fundamental to our operations. Building a strong safety culture requires commitment at every level โ€” from the workers on the ground to top leadership alike. It also means continuously strengthening our safety processes and protocols while investing in workforce training and technology to keep improving the way we work. ๐Ÿ’ช

Some examples of technologies we have adopted include AGIL DriveSafe+, an advanced 360-degree collision warning system that serves as a second pair of eyes for our Bus Captains ๐Ÿš, as well as our Multi Function Track Trolley that detects track defects ๐Ÿ›ค๏ธ, enabling timely maintenance and enhancing rail safety and reliability.

While technology plays an important role, true safety ultimately depends on our everyday choices. By choosing to pause, check, and look out for one another at our workplace, we can help to keep everyone safe. ๐Ÿค
