Dometic Frigo DC, a fully electric and motor-independent cooling system for transport solutions, has been chosen by EV Fleet for the 'SmartVan IoT', an intelligent transport concept in Poland. When Poland decided to switch to electric transport for urban transport, Dometic's all-electric, motor-independent refrigeration technology was chosen for the project to develop an electric transport system.

The priority of EV Fleet (EV Fleet Group) Fleet is to create a breakthrough model of transport, based on innovative vehicles, equipped with the latest solutions, systems and technologies.

The Engineering Center of EV Fleet (EV Fleet Group) Fleet will work for the needs of its own projects, but also for external clients from the automotive industry. By the end of 2022, it plans to hire at least 30 designers and technologists.

CWS Automotive - the new EV Fleet brand with background history

EV Fleet creates a new business unit called CWS Automotive, whose main goal is to design the means of transport of the future. Its name was inspired by the technical thought of the pre-war Central Car Workshops. The first project of CWS Automotive is the electrically powered E1 platform, on which the EV Fleet ED.1 mini-truck will be built.

Wyzwanie zakończone!
Wczoraj w Warszawie przeprowadziliśmy zapowiadany SmartVan Challenge 2021, w ramach którego nasz SmartVan IoT - Mobile API (brand by EV Fleet)) na bazie eSprinter udowodnił, że przy pełnym obciążeniu jest w stanie na jednym ładowaniu baterii przejechać nawet 200 km.

Trasa obejmowała zarówno ścisłe centrum, jak i obszar poza nim - uwzględniała też przystanki na symulacje rozładunku. Wszystko po to, żeby możliwie realnie odzwierciedlić codzienną pracę dostawców miejskich. Dodatkowym źródłem energii w trakcie testu były panele fotowoltaiczne zainstalowane na pojeździe.

SmartVan Challenge 2021 był wspólną inicjatywą EV Fleet i Mercedes-Benz Autotrade - szczegółową relację, także wideo, przekażemy w materiałach prasowych niebawem!

The challenge is done!
Yesterday in Warsaw, we conducted the announced SmartVan Challenge 2021, in which our technology demonstrator based on eSprinter proved that it can travel up to 200 km on a single battery charge.

The route covered both the very center and the outskirts - it also included stops for unloading simulations. All this to reflect the daily work of city suppliers as realistically as possible. An additional source of energy during the test were.

SmartVan Challenge 2021
This august, the SmartVan IoT technology demonstrator designed on the basis of eSprinter by EV Fleet, will take up the challenge over a distance of 200 kilometers in the urban environment. The joint project of EV Fleet and Mercedes-Benz Autotrade is to show that with proper exploitation, the range of the vehicle may be higher than declared by the manufacturer (160 km)

• vehicle: eSprinter SmartVan IoT with full load of 3490 kg
• distance: min 200 km - start and finish at the Mercedes-Benz Autotrade headquarters in Marki
• route: Warsaw, 60% in the very center, 40% outside
• 20 stops along the route with a simulation of unloading at the customer's site
• the vehicle is to produce min. 1 kWh of electricity from a source powered by photovoltaic panels
• electricity consumption max. 23 kWh per 100 km
• constant temperature in the range of 2-8 degrees C in the cargo space
• monitoring: telematics system, cameras showing images from the interior, cargo space and in front of the vehicle in real time

SmartVan IoT is an innovative vehicle based on eSprinter, equipped with a 47 kWh battery and an isothermal interior with two sections - passive and active, as well as an additional power source, designed by EV Fleet, which obtains energy from photovoltaic panels.
