Heading home for the holidays? We’re ready.

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) is stepping up on its holiday traffic and road safety operations across its Luzon expressways—, SCTEX, NLEX Connector, CAVITEX, and CALAX—to help make Christmas and New Year traveling smoother and safer.

From Dec. 19 to Jan. 5, roadworks and lane closures are suspended (except for emergency repairs), with full manpower deployed, all toll lanes open, and added traffic, toll, and emergency response teams on standby. Select counterflow lanes, free towing, and barrier-up operations will be activated as needed.

Motorists can also enjoy toll-free passage from 10:00 PM (Dec 24) to 6:00 AM (Dec 25) and 10:00 PM (Dec 31) to 6:00 AM (Jan 1) on key MPTC expressways.

SEC names MPTC sustainability head Atty. Cynthia “Dacky” Casiño as Private Sector Sustainability Champion

MPTC Chief Corporate Governance and Risk Officer, and Head of Sustainability Atty. Cynthia “Dacky” Casiño has been the driving force behind MPTC Group’s sustainability journey. Her office institutionalized MPTC’s Sustainability Strategic Priorities and created programs with impacts on the environment and communities.

To embed these in the company, her team launched sustainability knowledge series and webinars to engage employees and translate these into real-life use cases, even outside of professional settings.

Beyond internal initiatives, she also led external programs that have received multiple awards including the Department of Health’s Healthy Pilipinas Gold Awards for Partners, Asia CEO Awards, ESG Business Awards, and Global Good Governance (3G) Awards.

SEC’s 4th GAD Awards honors corporate leaders who guide sustainability efforts of their organization and create measurable impact in the Philippine corporate sector by contributing to any of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This milestone reflects strong investor confidence in our work and allows us to accelerate projects that improve mobility, safety, and expressway experiences for millions of motorists.

Metro Pacific Tollways marked 2025 by lighting its key infrastructure in blue.

On November 20, several prominent sites across in north and south Luzon, and the Visayas were lit in blue to symbolize its commitment of safer roads for children.

As part of this mission, MPTC and its business units NLEX Corp., MPT South, and CCLEC are working together with various organizations to push for policies and programs that help ensure children travel safely and reach their destinations without risk.

Sites lit in blue included:
• NLEX Corporation headquarters in Balintawak, Caloocan
• Drive&Dine in Valenzuela
• MPT South’s LEED Gold-certified MPT South Hub in Imus, Cavite

MPTC Receives SEC Order of Registration and Permit to Sell for Bond Issuance

On 14 November 2025, MPTC received from the Market and Securities Regulation Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission Order No. 109, Series of 2025 (“Order of Registration”) and the Certificate of Permit to Offer Securities for Sale dated 14 November 2025 (“Permit to Sell”) for MPTC’s maiden offering of Philippine Peso-denominated SEC-registered bonds.

The Permit to Sell is in relation to MPTC's proposed public offering and sale of PHP 15 Billion SEC-registered fixed-rate, Philippine Peso-denominated bonds with an oversubscription option of up to PHP 5 Billion to be issued in three (3) series: 5.5443% 3-year fixed rate bonds due 2028, 5.7879% 5-year fixed rate bonds due 2030, and 6.3069% 10-year fixed rate bonds due 2035.

Following the issuance of the Order of Registration and Permit to Sell, the public offer period shall commence at 9:00 A.M. on 17 November 2025 and end at 5:00 P.M. on 21 November 2025. MPTC intends to issue and list the bonds on the Philippine Dealing and Exchange Corp. (“PDEx”) on 2 December 2025. The Offer and listing of the Bonds remains subject to satisfaction by MPTC of all applicable regulatory requirements.

The bonds are intended to be issued at par, and interest will be calculated on a 30/360-day count basis, payable quarterly in arrears. Philippine Ratings Services Corporation has rated the bonds PRS Aaa with Stable Outlook on 26 Sept 2025.

The net proceeds from the Offer are intended to partially finance equity and advances for the Manila Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), Cavite Laguna Expressway CALAX), and Lapu-Lapu Expressway (LLEX), refinance an existing bridge facility used to fund new investments, and support other general corporate purposes.

BPI Capital Corporation and First Metro Investment Corporation are the Joint Issue Managers, and together with BDO Capital & Investment Corporation, China Bank Capital Corporation, PNB Capital and Investment Corporation, and Security Bank Capital Investments Corporation, act as the Joint Lead Underwriters and Joint Bookrunners for the Offer.
