We’re thrilled to announce Atasha Mae Verano, a motivated Railway Engineer, as a featured speaker at the !

Atasha has hands-on experience in railway signaling and telecommunications projects through her internships at Alstom Transport Construction Philippines Inc. and the Light Rail Transit Authority. She has applied her technical expertise in CAD software, project coordination, preventive maintenance, and technical documentation—gaining valuable exposure to railway infrastructure standards and modern workflows.

Beyond her technical engineering work, Atasha also demonstrated versatility as an Operations and Marketing Assistant at CreatorsInc., where she managed digital content and graphics—showcasing her ability to combine technical precision with creativity and communication.

She will be representing her group and their paper, “RAIL-O: Assisting Commuters with Dynamic Timetables, Maps, and Commuting Platform” (co-authored with Ma. Julianna Gonzales, Rizal Julis Mallari, and Kobe Pura). This innovative project leverages technology to enhance commuter experience, improve accessibility, and provide real-time, data-driven solutions for smarter railway operations.

Get ready to accelerate the future of Philippine railways! The Philippine Railways Institute, Asian Development Bank, JICA - Japan International Cooperation Agency, and Transportation Science Society of the Philippines - TSSP are thrilled to announce a featured speaker at this year’s : Juliana V. Bonete

Ms. Bonete will represent all the authors who contributed to writing the research: Meg Ryan Bangoy, Brylle Deen Caraca, Christiniel P. Feril, and Loren Joy D. Tonido. Their research instructor, Paul Allen B. Patriarca, who is now with PRI, previously presented at .

Ms. Bonete is a 4th-year student in the Railway Engineering and Management Department at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Her group recently won the Transconverge 2025 research pitching competition with a study on the last-mile connectivity and multimodal accessibility of the MRT-3 Taft station.

As an active student leader, she serves as the Auditor for the American Concrete Institute PUP Student Chapter and was the lead organizer for the first Railway Engineering Hard Hatting and Pinning Ceremony. She also holds a Safety Officer 2 certification and recently completed an internship at Light Rail Manila Corporation.
