CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU-10) in coordination with RID10, RIU10, and SOU10-PDEG, successfully arrested an individual during a buy-bust operation in Zone 5, Brgy Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City on October 9, 2024.
The suspect is identified as alias βManixβ, legal age, male, and resident of Zone 5, Brgy. Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City for violation of Section 5, Article II of R.A. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Accordingly, the suspect is a first-time offender involved in both the use and selling of illegal drugs. It was revealed that the illegal drugs were to be delivered to his residence, where customers would also go to purchase them.
Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation include five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing 60 grams, with Standard Drug Price of PhP408,000.00, a weighing scale, a coin purse, and a PhP1,000.00 bill used as buy-bust money.
Suspect is now under the custody of Maharlika Detention Cell for temporary detention and will be subjected to forensic examination by the Regional Forensic Unit 10 (RFU10).
PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Acting Regional Director, PRO10, commended the efforts of the operatives involved in the successful operation and reiterated the PNPβs unyielding commitment to eliminating illegal drug activities in Northern Mindanao.
βWe will further intensify our efforts in the anti-illegal drug campaign. We will never tolerate those who sell or use illegal substances in this region. I call upon everyone to support us and inform us immediately of any illegal activities in their locality,β he said. # # #
