DRESSING FOR SERVICE
(The Most Essential Part).
The intentionality undergirding our actions goes a long way in determining the outcomes we get, as well as the qualities of such outcomes.
Avoiding the temptation of embarking on a long and largely unnecessary voyage of analytical detailings, I'd simply cut to the chase.
Today is Sunday, 29th June 2025.
Being one who belongs to the tribe of Truth and garrison of Grace, I believe you will be present in Church, all things running smoothly, yeah?
Now, the question begs to be answered - How do you dress for service?
Is it by taking a pick from the vast assemblage of well made outfits standing majestically within the royal confines of your wardrobe, fitting that choice pick on and going ahead to 'bless' the visual artilleries of all who chance on you as you take that majestic stride/ride to church, with the spectacle of your glamorously adorned self?
Obviously not!
Dressing for service goes beyond bodily embellishments (what you wear & how you look).
The most important part of dressing for service is called: HEART PREPARATION.
Proverbs 16:1 says:
"The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord".
From the above verse, we can safely infer that the heart cannot be truly prepared without the help of the Lord.
Just as you go to the market armed with currency (physical and/or electronic) to make exchanges for the things you desire, the preparation of the heart is the principal currency you need to do business transactions with God inorder to benefit maximally in and from His Presence.
Therefore, as you prepare for service, do well to arm yourself with a heart charged by the drainless batteries of the Secret Place - intentionally fellowshipping with the Word and the Spirit.
That way, when you assemble in the congregation of the just, you become a contributing component to the corporate force of the Spirit (The Anointing), and not a spiritual liability.
Furthermore, you will be spiritually positioned to benefit maximally from the favours, the flavours and the fervours that flow in and from His Presence.
