Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT) telah menyambut persinggahan sulung MSC Magnifica pada 7 April 2026 , bersempena sambutan Ulang Tahun Ke-25 Mediterranean Shipping Company (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (MSC Malaysia). Majlis tersebut telah diserikan dengan kehadiran YB Loke Siew F**k, Menteri Pengangkutan.

Ketibaan MSC Magnifica, sebuah kapal persiaran bertaraf dunia dengan kapasiti melebihi 3,200 penumpang, terus memperkukuh peranan Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT) sebagai hab pelayaran serantau. Persinggahan ini merupakan sebahagian daripada MSC World Cruise 2026 yang merangkumi 46 destinasi di 33 negara.

Majlis ini turut dihadiri oleh H.E. Chantal Moser, Duta Switzerland ke Malaysia; Puan Fabienne Lerda, Pengarah Urusan MSC Malaysia; Tuan Ean Yong Hian Wah, Pengerusi Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang; Dato’ Kapt. K. Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT) welcomed the inaugural call of MSC Magnifica on 7 April 2026. The inaugural call was made even more special with MSC
Malaysia celebrating its 25th anniversary in conjuction with the visit of MSC Magnifica to Malaysia. The event wasgraced by the presence of YB Loke Siew
F**k, Minister of Transport.

The arrival of MSC Magnifica, a world-class cruise ship with a capacity of over 3,200 passengers, further strengthens the role of Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT) as a regional cruise hub. This call is part of the MSC World Cruise 2026, which covers 46 destinations across 33 countries.

The event was also attended by H.E. Chantal Moser, Ambassador of Switzerland to Malaysia; Ms. Fabienne Lerda, Managing Director of MSC Malaysia; Mr. Ean Yong Hian Wah, Chairman of Port Klang Authority; Dato’ Capt. K. Subramaniam, General Manager of Port Klang Authority; Datuk Eddie Lee Mun Tat, Group Managing Director of Westports and Chairman of PKCT; Dato’ Azman Shah bin Mohd Yusof, Group Executive Officer of MMC Port Holdings Berhad; Mr. Alvin Geoffrey Alphonso, Chief Executive Officer of PKCT; Mr. Vijaya Kumar Puspowanam, Chief Executive Officer of Westports; Mr. Nik Muzani bin Nik Abdul Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of Northport; as well as representatives from government agencies and the private sector.

We are honored to have served as the strategic location for the final phase of Exercise MANTIS Series 12/2026, a bilateral tactical exercise between the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM).

The exercise was concluded with a high-intensity Field Training Exercise (FTX) right here at our terminal, focusing on Counter-Terrorism and CBRNE threats. The closing ceremony was officiated by Major General HJ Mohd Shauari bin Hj Mat Piah, representing the Commander of Western Field Army, and attended by Her Excellency Jodi Robinson, High Commissioner for Canada in Malaysia.

By facilitating such elite international drills, Port Klang Cruise Terminal reaffirms its commitment to national security and our readiness to handle complex safety scenarios in a dynamic maritime environment.
