I’m incredibly honored and humbled to be named the inaugural 2026 Voice of the Road Award recipient by REAL Women in Trucking. ❤️🚛

A HUGE thank you to everyone in my community who voted, shared, encouraged me, and believed in me. Every vote and every message meant something.

This is OUR award, not just mine. ❤️

And congratulations to my fellow finalists, Rachel Jane Addison, Mona Beedle, and Susan Couch. It’s an honor to be recognized alongside you.

I’ll keep using my voice, sharing our stories, and reminding others:

Your starting point does not define your destination. 🇵🇷❤️

REAL Women in Trucking is proud to announce Natasha Cruz-Sanchez as the inaugural 2026 Voice of the Road Award winner!

Natasha’s voice is one of purpose—rooted in education, advocacy, safety, representation, and a commitment to bringing the experiences of professional drivers into the conversations shaping our industry.

In Natasha’s words:

“Your starting point does not define your destination.”

We also proudly recognize our three outstanding finalists:

Rachel Jane Addison — Her voice is strong and steady, grounded in mentorship and lifting other women as they find their place in trucking.

Mona Beedle — Her voice is filled with faith and fellowship, using service and encouragement to remind drivers they are seen and valued.

Susan Couch — Her voice is resilient, turning adversity into advocacy, hope, and support for others throughout the trucking community.

To everyone who read their stories, supported these women, and cast a vote by liking their finalist photos: thank you for using your voice, too.

Congratulations to Natasha, Rachel, Mona, and Susan. Four women. Four journeys. Four voices that deserve to be heard.

💔 A TRUCK DRIVER LOST HIS WIFE TO A TURNING SEMI—NOW THEIR SON FACES HIS THIRD BIRTHDAY WITHOUT HER

📍 LOVE’S TRAVEL STOP | BALDWIN, FLORIDA

This was not just another number buried inside a traffic report.

Truck driver Fidel Hernandez was walking through the Baldwin Love’s parking lot carrying his young son. His wife, Estefany, was beside them.

Seconds later, everything changed.

Jacksonville police say a turning semi struck Estefany at approximately 7:20 p.m. September 15. The driver reportedly did not see her. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue pronounced her dead at the scene.

Their little boy turns three on September 28.

He should be celebrating with his mother. Instead, Fidel is facing the unbearable reality of raising their son without her.

Fidel makes his living behind the wheel. Now the industry he belongs to is also connected to the moment that shattered his family.

Authorities have not announced an arrest, citation, impairment allegation or final determination of fault. We will not manufacture one.

But accountability demands a complete investigation into the truck’s turning path, visibility, lighting, surveillance footage and pedestrian conditions inside that parking lot.

Truck stops are workplaces—but they are also places where families, drivers and heavy equipment move through the same confined space.

Estefany was not “pedestrian fatality number 31.”

She was a wife.
She was a mother.
She was loved.
And she should still be here.
