We had the pleasure of spending 16 wonderful days traveling across Morocco with our lovely Australian couple, Phillip and Arlene. It was truly an enjoyable journey filled with great moments, beautiful landscapes, and meaningful conversations.

Together, we explored the vibrant cities of Marrakech, Fes, and the charming blue streets of Chefchaouen, crossed the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, and experienced the magic of the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Every day brought new discoveries and unforgettable memories.

What an unforgettable night celebrating Corliss’s birthday under the stars of the Sahara! 🌙🎂

The evening began with a camel ride through the golden dunes at sunset — the sky painted in shades of pink and gold, and the silence of the desert wrapping us in magic. 🐪💛

At our luxury camp, the team from Daybreak Morocco Tours had everything ready — glowing lanterns, soft Berber music, and a surprise setup for a special dinner. 🍵🎶

We gathered around a beautifully prepared Moroccan feast, laughing, sharing stories, and enjoying the calm beauty of the desert night. Then came the surprise — a birthday cake, Berber drums, and everyone singing for Corliss! 🎂🥁💃

The stars sparkled above as we danced around the campfire, celebrating friendship, joy, and the incredible energy that travel brings. 🌌🔥

16 Beautiful Days Exploring Morocco with Kathy, Kim, and Corliss

Frankly it was an unforgettable adventure! For sixteen wonderful days, I had the pleasure of traveling with three amazing American ladies — Kathy, Kim, and Corliss — discovering and exploring and show them the beauty, history, and warmth of Morocco .

The journey began in Casablanca, the modern heartbeat of the country, before heading north to the charming blue alleys of Chefchaouen. From there, we explored the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a glimpse into Morocco’s timeless past, before arriving in the cultural capital — Fez, where history and tradition come alive at every turn.

Crossing the Cedar Forest of the Middle Atlas, we enjoyed the fresh mountain air and met the friendly Barbary monkeys before reaching Errachidia, Erfoud, and Rissani — the gateway to the Sahara. Our days in Merzouga where we celebrate Corliss birthday were pure magic: camel rides over golden dunes, Berber music by the campfire, and breathtaking sunsets that will never be forgotten.

From the desert, we continued through the spectacular landscapes of Tinghir and the Dades Gorges, admiring nature’s dramatic creations. Then we visited the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains toward vibrant Marrakech, the city of colors, gardens, and ancient souks.

The final stop was the peaceful coastal town of Essaouira, where sea breezes and relaxed vibes offered the perfect ending to this amazing journey — before returning to Casablanca to complete our circle of memories.

Traveling with Kathy, Kim, and Corliss was a true pleasure — sixteen days of laughter, learning, and unforgettable moments. Their spirit of adventure and appreciation made this tour one to remember.

These were truly very good days — full of joy, discovery, and friendship.
