Puthkiri Pagoda, also called Wat Puth Kiri or Buddha Kiri, is a beautiful hilltop Buddhist site located around 95 km southwest of Phnom Penh, near the border area of Kampot, Takeo, and Kampong Speu provinces.
The pagoda is famous for:
•Thousands of golden Buddha statues covering the hillside
•A large Buddha statue at the top
•About 199 steps leading uphill
Peaceful mountain and countryside views
The monks aim to build a total of 84,000 Buddha statues, symbolizing the 84,000 teachings of Buddhism.
