A wildlife photographer was watching a lion family relaxing together when the father leaned toward his tiny cub.

It looked completely innocent.

Dad simply wanted to say hello.

But Mom wasn't taking any chances. 😳

The moment she saw him reaching toward her baby, she sprang into action.

SWAT! 🐾

She quickly placed herself between the father and the cub, making it very clear that nobody was getting too close without her approval.

The confused father backed away, seemingly wondering what he had done wrong. πŸ˜‚

The funny part?

He wasn't trying to hurt his cub at all.

He was simply trying to interact with his little son.

But Mom's protective instincts kicked in before she had time to ask questions.

And honestly… every parent knows that look.

The photographer couldn't help but laugh at the scene.

Because even though Dad might be the king of the pride…
