[A Precious Japanese Cultural Experience]
Have you ever heard of Takigi Noh? 🧐
Takigi Noh is a traditional Japanese performing art in which Noh and Kyogen plays are performed outdoors on summer evenings, illuminated by the enchanting glow of bonfires surrounding the stage🌙
Historical records show that Takigi Noh dates back to 1255, but its origins can be traced even further to religious ceremonies of the early Kamakura period. It is a cultural tradition with a remarkably long history✨
You can experience this prestigious event at Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji Temple, located along the Keikyu Line!

This year marked the 51st annual performance, featuring Nomori Hakuto. One of the highlights is the powerful dance of a divine spirit wielding a sacred mirror to restore order to a troubled world.
For international visitors, paid English subtitle guides are available through rental devices, making it easy to enjoy the performance even if you do not speak Japanese.
