The Kuraki Noh Stage was originally built in Hibiya, Tokyo in 1917, and was later relocated and restored at its current site in 1965. [Discover Something Special at Kamiooka Station! A Retro Showa-Era Keikyu Journey 🚆✨]
This time, we’re introducing two fascinating attractions at Kamiooka Station, one of the most unique stations along the Keikyu Line 😊

First is the much-talked-about “Pata-Pata” Departure Board!

Keikyu’s original mechanical departure boards, affectionately known as “Pata-Pata,” were used across its network from 1986 until the final board was retired in 2022. Now, their nostalgic flipping motion has been brought back to life at Kamiooka Station using modern technology.
Installed both inside and outside the ticket gates, the LCD departure boards recreate the distinctive “pata-pata” movement of the original mechanical displays. They combine modern technology with a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere✨
Be sure to capture the moment when the information changes—it’s perfect for videos 📹✨

Another fascinating spot is Keikyu Inari Shrine (Keikyu Inari Ookami), a shrine bearing the Keikyu name.

Located on the rooftop of Keikyu Department Store, this little-known shrine is a hidden spiritual spot ⛩️ The approach lined with red torii gates offers a surprisingly peaceful escape from the city, and the shrine is said to bring blessings for safe travels and prosperity in business.
You can also learn about the shrine’s history and connection with Keikyu, so be sure to read the information displayed there during your visit💕
