With the aim to contain the spread of the CORONA VIRUS, JA customs remind all importers/exports of the non- face to face methods of payment. see below and be guided accordingly.:

In observance of the health protocols being promoted by the Government of Jamaica (through the Ministry of Health and Wellness), to minimize the spread of the coronavirus - COVID-19, the Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) is encouraging Importers, Customs Brokers and Cargo Agents to effect payments to the Agency, using our online payment services.

Our (JCA) online payment options are as follows:

1.E-payment (via the ASYCUDA World Portal)

2.Real Time Gross Settlement (R.T.G.S) (Direct Bank Transfer)

3.Advance Deposit Account (Prepayment Services)

*The E-payment System*

is open to all customers, and the registration process is simple. Once you have registered, you will be able to pay from the comfort of your home, or ‘on-the-go’. Customers will be able to use their credit card to access, and make payments for Customs import, export, transit and transshipment declarations. Customs Brokers can also make use of our E-payment service for the Customs Brokers Licence Renewal Fee, among others, by using the “Add Other Customs Fee” option where applicable.


*The Real Time Gross Settlement (R.T.G.S)*

is an online facility which requires no registration. It is a direct transfer from your bank account to the JCA’s bank account. Once that is done you simply complete the Advice Form and send to the email address listed on the Advice Form.


*The Advance Deposit Account*

gives you the opportunity to make lump sum deposits to your account with the JCA, and then apply the amount in the account to pay duties or taxes at your own convenience. The Advance Deposit Account, once created, may be topped-up over the counter or through direct bank transfer (R.T.G.S) for immediate access and use at your convenience.

**You may view all supporting documents in relation to our direct payment options, by visiting the JCA’s website at www.jacustoms.gov.jm. For further information you may also contact our Revenue Accounts Unit at 876-948-5151.

Please Note: ‘Over-the-Counter’ Transactions

You can still visit the JCA to make ‘over-the-counter’ payments at the Cashier, if required.

JAMAICA CUSTOMS CONTINUES FULL OPERATIONS AT AIR AND SEA PORTS
Arising from queries from the media and members of the public, the Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) is advising that it remains fully operational at the country’s air and sea ports, and assures its customers that there are no restrictions or ban on the importation of goods from countries impacted by the COVID-19 virus.



Mrs. Velma Ricketts Walker, CEO/Commissioner of Customs, stated that, “as a border protection entity, we are fully aware of our importance in facilitating trade and travel, which is crucial for the sustainability of the economy and the livelihood of our people, and likewise, we recognise our vulnerability to this virus.”



In this regard, the Commissioner has indicated that in keeping with the Government of Jamaica’s (GOJs) national response strategy in combating Covid-19, the JCA has instituted the relevant health measures and protocols, in promoting the well-being of its employees, including information sharing and providing sanitation supplies. She is also assuring stakeholders that the Agency will implement contingency measures, to ensure business continuity, if necessary.



The Agency is also imploring stakeholders and the general public, to follow the established guidelines and health protocols of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, which can serve to reduce the spread of this coronavirus. In this regard, the Agency is asking customers visiting its various locations to cooperate with security personnel, with respect to measures put in place to combat COVID-19.



The JCA takes this opportunity to encourage customers to utilise its e-Payment platform to undertake transactions, as well as its online channels (Live Chat, Customer Relationship and Feedback Platform), located on its website: www.jacustoms.gov.jm, to make queries or to lodge reports, or to contact its Customer Service Representatives at [email protected] and [email protected], or by telephone 876-922-5140-8.
