It began with a minor road accident…
But what followed was a completely unacceptable act of violence against a hardworking truck driver.
Our Etash Deliveries truck bearing registration number AS01NC4084 was allegedly hit by a vehicle(AS02J2473)that was driving on the wrong side while attempting a dangerous overtake. Instead of resolving the matter peacefully, the situation reportedly escalated in a shocking manner.
The accused allegedly forcefully snatched the vehicle key, physically assaulted our truck driver Mr. Krishna Thapa using the same key, threatened him, and left him seriously injured before fleeing the scene.
No truck driver or transport worker should ever face such brutality while carrying out his duty. These drivers work tirelessly day and night to keep essential goods and logistics moving, and such acts of violence against them are deeply condemnable.
Etash Deliveries strongly condemns this inhuman and unlawful act. We request the respected Assam Government and Assam Police to take strict and immediate legal action against the accused, ensure his arrest at the earliest, and help deliver justice to our driver.
The safety, dignity, and protection of our drivers will always remain our highest priority.
