With Reserve Bank of India - RBI ending the loan moratorium period today, if bus operators are asked to pay EMIs it will be an additional burden forcing them to go off-road.
We have demanded the Government to extend the period by 12 months.

Prasanna Patwardhan, president of the Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), said currently even a single bus operator is not in a position to pay the EMI on his vehicle, as there has been hardly any business in the last five months.

We appreciate the bid taken by for extending the validity of motor vehicle & driving related documents till Dec 31, 2020.
Applicable on driving licenses, registrations, fitness certificates & all other permits that are subject to expire between Feb 1- Sep 30, 2020, the initiative is going to be a huge relief to private bus operators.
