BROMO CAMPING TOUR DETAILS:
DAY 1: SURABAYA – PERAHU HILL (BROMO CAMPING AREA)
On the first day of the trip, we recommend to start before midday or at least before 14:00, so you will have a time to enjoy the village before we head to our Camping area. The length of the journey from Surabaya to Mount Bromo area is about 3-4 hours away.
Note: You can also can be started from Malang too. You can just let us know your start point and we will give you the best advice for you.
Upon your arrival in Mount Bromo area, we will be stopping in our basecamp, where you can change your clothes to warmer clothes, using toilet, and we will ride a jeep from here to our Camping Point in Mount Bromo area.
During the night, you will be having the dinner together with our crews with a local food from Mount Bromo area, and enjoy the cold breeze. After dinner, you will required to sleep because we will wake up at 4 am to be ready for catching up the Sunrise.
DAY 2: BROMO SUNRISE TOUR – BROMO TREKKING – BROMO SUNSET
The second day of the trip, will be starting at 4 am where our guide will wake you up to prepare for our sunrise trip, the sun will rises about 5:30 am, but it’s better to wake up earlier, so you can prepare what you need.
For the Sunrise, we don’t need to go anywhere. We just stay in our Camping point and watch the beautiful view from our site.
After watching the sunrise, you will get a local breakfast and hot coffee or tea before, we head to the top of Mount Bromo.
About 7:00, we will be ready to move to our jeep and go down to the sea of sand where we will hike the top of Mount Bromo. We also will stop at the sea of sand where you can take photo of surrounding. Afterward, we will continue drive to parking area and we will walk about 45 minutes away to reach the top of Mount Bromo area. The path is quite dusty and steep in the last 20 minutes.
Upon your arrival at the top of Mount Bromo, you will be so amazed with the view of this volcano, sometimes it spews some smoke with sulfuric smell. So, we are not allowed to stay here too long, because we never know when it will become more active.
After enjoying the area, we will go back to our jeep and drive to the local restaurant to have another breakfast and then check in at the local hotel/homestay nearby.
About 3 am, our guide will invite you to walk around the village to see the afternoon activity of the local people and we will watch a sunset in Metigen Hill when the weather is great.
Drive to Paltuding Base Camp

DAY 3 IJEN CRATER - SURABAYA
The tour will start at 00:30 AM from your hotel in Banyuwangi, our car will bring us to Paltuding. Paltuding is a parking place in Ijen Crater that is a start point too before you take a hike on the peak of Ijen Crater. This journey takes approximately 1 hour from your hotel. Upon your arrival at the parking area of Ijen Crater, approximately 1, 5 to 2 hours will be required to hike the slope of Ijen Crater to reach its peak, but to see the blue flame we need to go the crater down around 30 minutes (sport and hiking shoes required). When you arrived at the bottom of the crater of Ijen Volcano, you will see the amazing view of the Blue flame everybody said, it is only two in the world (only in Ijen Volcano, in Indonesia and Dallol Volcano in Ethiopia).
When the sun rises, you will be invited to climb the crater up to enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shade. Rest on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2385 meters and enjoy the best panorama of the lake of acid water which reflects the spectacular view in the surrounding walls that gives the impression of doom. The sulfur miners go down into the crater and climb back up by passing a dangerous path on the edge of the Ijen Crater with a load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is really a dangerous and hard job. Here also, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the crater of Ijen crater is one of God’s amazing creations. Do not forget to take pictures in this area as proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth. After enjoying the natural scenery at Crater of Ijen and then descend the slope of Ijen Crater until to the vehicle’s parking area where our vehicle is waiting for escorting you to the plantations (coffee and clove). Afterward, we will be back to the town of Banyuwangi for going back to Hotel and taking breakfast then we will give you time for sleeping for a couple of hours, and around 11.30 AM we will drive to Surabaya City
