⛽ New Fuel Policy
Many of you will have noticed that fuel prices have increased significantly again over the past few weeks.
For businesses like ours that cover thousands of miles every month transporting clients to airports across the UK, fuel costs are naturally one of the biggest operational expenses.
Rather than immediately increasing prices, we’ve been exploring alternative solutions to help manage these rising costs while keeping our service competitive.
From today Pickering Call a Car will be trialling a new “Bring Your Own Fuel” option for longer airport transfers.
Passengers will be able to bring up to 20 litres of diesel with them on the day of travel to help offset the fuel cost of their journey.
Our drivers will of course be happy to assist with carefully adding the fuel to the vehicle before departure and clients are asked to ensure fuel containers are securely sealed and labelled clearly, and that petrol and diesel are not mixed up.
This initiative will initially apply to longer journeys such as Heathrow, Manchester and London transfers, where fuel usage is naturally higher.
Further updates will follow once the trial period has been reviewed.
April fools!!!
