On Tuesday 12 May we ran the first Eversley Shopper Service from Eversley to Camberley and the Meadows with an additional stop at Eversley Village Hall to enable Susan Kendrick and Sandra Miller to formally cut the ribbon to enable the minibus to roll.

Our Mercedes Treka had on board a number of travellers for this first trip and we look forward to seeing many more Eversley residents on future trips.

If you wish to join please get in touch with Lorraine, our Operations Manager, as you need to be registered (mainly so that we can find your front door and take you from there to your chosen destination. We will be running every Tuesday and hope that this new service will prove invaluable to Eversley residents.

The Yelabus Bus is coming to Eversley.
🚌PLEASE ASK YOUR NEIGHBOURS OR FRIENDS WHO HAVEN'T ACCESS TO TRANSPORT OR WOULD JUST LIKE A TRIP OUT TO CONTACT LORRAINE TO APPLY FOR REGISTRATION, OR PERHAPS ASSIST THEM WITH CONTACTING LORRAINE. 🚌
If you would like to join us for the first journey to The Meadows and Camberley town centre on Tuesday 12th May, please contact Lorraine on 07719 799263 or email [email protected] to apply for a registration form.
The service will run from your front door (or at least as close as our vehicle can get) to take you either to The Meadows in Camberley or to Camberley town centre on Tuesday mornings. The service is available to anyone who lives in Eversley or adjacent areas and for whom other means of public transport are not available.
The Parish Council and Yelabus have worked together to ensure that residents can have a weekly service in an area which has little public transport.

Hiring Charges
Every year we review our charges to our hirers. We have just done this for 2026/27 and will introduce a small - below inflation - increase to our charges from 1 July. Everyone will be aware of the big increases in the cost of diesel fuel in the last few weeks. We will be absorbing most of these (hopefully temporary) diesel increases and we have no plans to raise our charges any higher. Despite the price increases at the pumps, there is no shortage of fuel at present, and we are confident that we can continue to provide a full service.
Charges for our Friday Shopper service will remain unchanged at £6 for the return trip – so this will not have increased in two years.

Yelabus
Based in Yateley, we provide transport for our local community groups across Northeast Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. We operate two specially adapted minibuses with tail lifts driven by our volunteer drivers. We have a combination of regular routes and ad hoc special trips available. We also work closely with the Young Carers charity, local schools and care homes.
To continue this vital work, we need more volunteer drivers!
Can you spare a few hours to be one of our drivers on one of our regular runs?
Evening roles available, term time only.
No experience necessary as full training will be paid for by yelabus.
You must:
• Hold a full driving licence
• Be a minimum of 25 years old
• Physically fit in order to assist our passengers
Es**rt roles also available – only DBS required

Do you feel you can help your neighbours in Yateley?

If you do Yelabus is looking for new committee members to help develop our community transport service. Yelabus has been bringing community transport to the Yateley area for over thirty years. We are financially strong as a charity and our team ensures that we operate in a safe and competent manner.

We would welcome three or four motivated and energetic people who can spare a few hours a month to help with passenger relations, marketing and publicity and interactions with local authorities in the form of County, Town and Parish councils (or their replacements). Day to day operations are in the hands of our Operations Manager and our team of drivers. The committee meets once a month for discussion on our activities and most duties beyond that take only a few hours most weeks. Initial training can be provided if you are not used to charity workings.

Another fun night of Bingo at The Cricketers Yateley last week, with lots of wins and smiles. Thank you Maureen Ayres for your continuing dedication to fundraising for Yelabus, we raised £283 on the night. Well done, and thank you to all who came along.
