The Goodwood Revival 2021

As always we were lucky enough to be involved in such a prestigious event held at the Goodwood Motor Circuit . Every year they manage to push the boundaries to create such a beautiful & nostalgic backdrop. This is one of very few places that vintage operators come together to provide various shuttle services throughout the event & realistically take over the town of Chichester. It truly is spectacular to see!

For those of you that don’t know this weekend would be The Goodwood Revival where we and many other operators run the streets of Chichester transporting guests for the weekend! We cannot stress enough what this event means to us and the amount that is required and put in by every single person involved within the industry in preparation for this event!
From static display, private hire, vehicles on loan to a good lap around the track!
We cannot wait to be back in 2021.

Traditionally, this Saturday would be the busiest day of the wedding season! However, instead:

•133,560 people will not go to work. Because 4,452 weddings will not take place in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

•An additional 213,696 workers will not have provided their services.

•A total of 347,256 workers will be impacted in just one day.

•The total direct spend on weddings annually is £14.7bn - £9.4bn on the day itself, £3.2bn spent on retail (outfits,rings & gift lists) and £2.1bn spent on travel, tourism and pre-wedding events (Honeymoon, Stag & Hen, Wedding Weekend related travel and tourism)

•This means that weddings contribute more to the economy than live sports events and three times that of live arts & cultural events.

•Approximately 250,000 people depend on work relating to delivering the day itself with an estimated 150,000 more in support functions. A total of 400,000 people our involved in weddings.

This is having a devastating impact on the whole industry.
