Just to combat current rumours. I was the first person on scene, when a young lad came off of his E scooter on Thievesdale lane this lunchtime.

I stopped my taxi to slow traffic and prevent further risk to him. Myself and my passenger then called for an ambulance and assisted the lad, who had a head injury. Due to ambulance delays I then took the lad, accompanied by his sister to A&E.

I DID NOT colide with the lad and knock him off of his scooter. He lost control due to weather conditions, and we were the only people to stop and help him!!

If you were the driver of this car, Blyth Road 6.50am on Friday morning (overtaking a DHL truck)

1.you are lucky to be alive
2.you almost caused a massive pile up that no doubt wouldve caused fatalities
3. You are an idiot
4. You shouldnt be on the road.

It was pretty clear that you werent going to get past the truck in time, but you kept going anyway. Where did you expect my taxi to go to make room for you? Off the road and into the hedge. Note the tree that you almost forced me into!!!!

I will be passing this footage on to the police. If you are lucky, they will be able to track you down through the DHL truck dash cam and get you off the road before you kill yourself
