Looking back on last weeks Visit Britain’s ‘Greater Together LA Trade Mission’, the UK’s largest ever trade mission to the US, we were proud to have Izzy represent us internationally as The Lake District, Cumbria & Francine’s supplier partner 🐐

The US is the UK’s most valuable inbound visitor market, forecast to be worth £7.5 billion to the economy in 2026 and is the highest proportion of inbound visitors to Cumbria ☀️

Through presentations, 1-2-1 meetings, networking/opening receptions and Visit Britain’s immersive consumer activation, the week was filled with: valuable conversations, new connections and proudly displaying Mountain Goat’s unique offerings to US operators and fellow Great Britain destinations and suppliers 🫶

We are honoured to continue our international trade presence, encouraging international visitors to Go Explore, and displaying how the US and UK are truly greater together 🇺🇸🇬🇧

🌿 We’re excited to share that one of our members, Mountain Goat Tours , has officially unveiled their refreshed brand and launched a new website!

With over 54 years of experience in small group travel, their updated identity reflects who they are today and where they’re headed, combining a modern, accessible brand with their long-standing commitment to responsible tourism.

Sustainability remains central to everything they do, and their Green Tourism Silver Award is a clear reflection of the strength and consistency of their environmental and social impact. From reducing emissions through small group travel to supporting local cafés, attractions, and communities, their approach is rooted in delivering tourism that benefits both people and place.

Their itineraries are carefully designed to go beyond the usual hotspots, helping to ease pressure on popular destinations while spreading economic benefit more widely across the regions they operate in. This is further supported through partnerships with the Lake District Foundation and Yorkshire Rivers Trust, with donations included on all bookings.

Their new website also makes it easier for travellers to choose more conscious, slower travel experiences, and highlights local partners and suppliers through dedicated content and destination guides.
